Obama's Failed Promises

There are so many Failed Promises made by Obama that it would be confusing to list them all.  Here are the Top 10 per the GOP National Committee plus a few others from our staff.

1. One-Term Proposition
1. In 2009, Obama promised that if he didn't have the economy fixed in three years then his presidency "was going to be a one-term proposition". He has failed on the Economy, Jobs and deficit and America's debt rating was lowered by S&P.
2. The 8 Percent Promise
1. He promised that his $831 BILLION stimulus would keep unemployment below 8 percent.  However, unemployment has remained above 8 percent for a post-WW2 record amount of time.
3. Green Jobs
1. He promised that his BETS on green energy would create thousands of jobs, but he gave a $535 Million tax payer funded loan to Solyndra, a company whose largest investor was a MAJOR Obama campaign donor.  The company went bankrupt and the taxpayers lost all of the money it had given to Solyndra.
4. Cut the Deficit in Half
1. Obama promised he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term.  Because of his reckless spending, he will have amassed a record Trillion Dollar Deficits every year in office and increased the national debt by more that $5 Trillion.
5. Unpatriotic Debt
1. In 2008, Obama said it was "unpatriotic" to add $4 trillion to the national debt but as president , he has increased the national debt by over $5 Trillion to over $15Trillion.
6. Housing Program Failure
1. He promised that his housing programs would save up to 9 million families from foreclosure, but his housing programs combined with the economy and jobs failures have only helped two million homeowners and currently there are more than 6 million properties that are delinquent or in foreclosure.
7. Failed to Change Washington
1. Obama promised to "fundamentally change how Washington works."  But he has failed to promote and increase bi-partisanship in the nations capital.  And he has failed to end special interest access to the White House as he promised.  He even broke his promise and let lobbyists work in his administration.
8. Rising Health Care Costs
1. In 2008, Obama promised that his health care plan would bring down premiums "by $2,500 for the typical family."  However, health care premiums for families rose by 9 percent last year, at a time when middle class families can least afford it.
9. Record College Costs
1. Under Barack Hussein Obama , college tuition and average student loan debt are both at all-time highs.
10. What Energy Policy
1. In 2008, Obama said he would "work to solve this energy crisis once and for all."  But in 2011, he called his own energy policy "just a hodgepodge" and said "we're not where we need to be."

A few more from our staff:

1. "I will develop a plan for Comprehensive Immigration Reform".
1. This was his response in spring of 2010 when he and his Justice Department declared war on the State of Arizona for trying to enforce immigration laws.  It's  now the summer of 2012 and he has not revealed a comprehensive plan yet.
2. "In my 2012 Budget I am reducing Spending as a % of GDP.
1. This was his comment in June of 2012.  This % involves a calculation involving Spending which has increased dramatically and GDP.  When you fudge the GDP number than you can make this % anything you want it to be.   Actually, he does this often.
3. "The Economy is Fine".
1. This statement in June was obviously a lie.  And he calls Romney out of touch.  On the other hand we should look at this from his perspective.  When you are following the Alinsky and Cloward and  Piven doctrine to overload the entitlement system and create  Political, Social and Economic chaos then the economy is fine.  (More on the Cloward and Piven Doctrine in another post.)

In our view the many Failed Promises are not misses.  This President thinks he and his aides can say anything to please the Voters and that the more they repeat the lies the more people will believe him.  Are we that Stupid?
