Obama - Only 3 Problems Left

As you turn on the news night after night you will see President Nero, VP Pinocchio or one of the other wooden heads in the Administration repeating the same mantra.  It seems like there are only three problems that need to be solved before they can finally implement "The Change We Can Believe In".

The first problem is that darned ole George Bush.  It seems that they are still running in to road bombs that he created that were planted in such hidden places that they can't find them until they have a problem.  Once they have a problem then its obvious that BUSH DID IT!

The second problem is the IGNORANT, BIBLE TOTING, BEER DRINKING VOTERS who just don't know what is good for them.  Thank Gawd they have the Leaders who are willin to make all of the decisions for them, regardless of what they say in those nasty polls, referendums and evil TEA PARTIES.  Yep it's just great the way our Administrators and Judges are Bold enough to IGNORE THE CONSTITUTION to do what is best for us Dummies.

And the 3rd and nastiest problem is that dreaded "PARTY OF NO".  I mean who do they think they are challenging our Dear Leader?  Just because they have town hall meetings and actually listen to the voters gives them no excuses for votin NO when the Dear Leader tells us than "once he gets these bills passed" then every one will see the light (Alleluia!) and realize what is good for them.  Meanwhile that other despicable party keeps votin NO on issues that are critical to the success of the Social Revolution.  They are Voting No to things like:

1. Deficit Spending
2. Earmarks for Friends of Barry
3. Health care that no one still understands but will definitely increase the deficit and give the 159 new government agencies control over all aspects of our care.
4. A nice clean WAR in a rock ridden, dust choking, poppy growing, politically impossible land that no one cares about
5. The Government Bureaucracy dragging its feet on cleaning up the Gulf Oil Spill
6. Putting a ban on drilling that will cost 100,000 jobs
7. Increasing taxes on everyone; yes even those who make less than $200,000 and would in normal circumstances be creating jobs
8. Administrators claiming every day that the Stimulus has worked and the economy is much better (In Washington, DC)
9. An Administration that refuses to enforce border security and prevent illegal aliens and terrorists from pouring over our borders and threatening  our Law Enforcement Officials
10. An Administration that is Suing the States for trying to enforce security

Well I'm sure that come November the Party of No gets what they deserve when all of us ignoramuses go to the Votin Booth!  You Betcha!

As the cartoon character POGO once said, “We have found the enemy and it is us!” I’ve heard a lot of lame excuses lately. Like: my one vote doesn’t count, I don’t like either candidate, he’s OK but don’t like his position on xxxx, I’m too busy. Just as scary are those suggesting we don’t vote for any incumbent. No candidate is perfect but one of them is closer to your beliefs than the other and you don’t have the luxury to opt out and let others decide the fate of our country. We have legislators voting for bills that don’t create JOBS, are DEFICIT Negative, Socialist Agenda, Pork riddled (Earmarks), and politically motivated. The Federal Government is killing job growth, preventing the Gulf clean-up, suing Arizona and playing the Race Card. Well, WHO elected these guys? Who has the power to get rid of them? And Edmund Burke said, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”. So voters stop whining, take some time to understand the issues and get yourself to the Polls. Regardless of your candidates of choice, it’s time to show some responsibility!

June 29: Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin speaks in Duluth, Ga.

A New Hampshire state representative has resigned his position and announced he will not run for re-election after writing that a dead Sarah Palin is "more dangerous than a live one."  State Rep. Timothy Horrigan stepped down Thursday after posting a Facebook page in which he described the "myth" of the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate. 

His resignation comes after another New Hampshire Democratic candidate apologized the same day for his Facebook post in which he wished Sarah Palin and the father of her grandchild, Levi Johnston, had been on the plane that crashed Tuesday, killing former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens.

"Just wish Sarah and Levy [sic] were on board," Keith Halloran originally wrote in reference to Palin and Johnston, her daughter Bristol's ex-boyfriend.

I think they are jealous because no one really cares if they are dead or alive - they are bottom fish!

Just 24% express positive feelings about the Republican Party, a new low in the 21-year history of the Journal's survey. Illegal Immigrants Estimated to Account for 1 in 12 U.S. Births .

One in 12 babies born in the U.S. in 2008 were offspring of illegal immigrants, according to a new study, an estimate that could inflame the debate over birthright citizenship.  Dozens of U.S.-born children and their undocumented parents traveled to Washington last month to demonstrate against deportations of illegal immigrant parents.  .Undocumented immigrants make up slightly more than 4% of the U.S. adult population. But even as Operation Iraqi Freedom comes to an end Aug. 31, President Obama and his team have warned that violence will continue as Iraqis take more responsibility for their security and governance.   (On Target?  I guess that on Planet Obama Target is whatever he wants it to be today.  The target he used to get elected was 16 months from election.  We must be out by now!)

Pelosi Blames Bush Again - No Shame!

Desperate to shift blame away from her economic policies, Speaker Pelosi released a statement Friday blaming President George W. Bush for the economy's anemic recovery: "Today’s report shows our teachers, police officers, firefighters, and nurses are still feeling the worst of the Bush recession."  Notice how Speaker Pelosi is only concerned about the economy's effect on government and unionized workers: teachers, police officers, firefighters and nurses. If you happen to work for the government, Speaker Pelosi is prepared to move heaven and earth to make sure your pay isn't cut. But if you work for the private sector, Speaker Pelosi has nothing to offer you but higher taxes.

Speaker Pelosi can try to play the blame game all she wants, but the facts of her economic record are rapidly catching up with her. Since becoming Speaker in 2007, Pelosi has embarked on an unprecedented deficit spending spree, including a $700 billion financial bailout, a first $186 billion stimulus, a second trillion dollar stimulus, a $1.5 trillion health care expansion, a $447 billion omnibus spending bill and a $15 billion doc fix/Medicaid bailout. All told, since Speaker Pelosi first took the gavel, discretionary spending has jumped 25%. The results of the Speaker Pelosi Spendapalooza? Since Pelosi became speaker in 2007, the nation's unemployment rate has risen from 4.6% to a high of 10.2%, to today's 9.5%.

Pelosi blames Bush, VP Pinocchio says the Stimulus is working and Barry always, always says that we are going in the right direction.  Since when is DOWNHILL the right direction for an Economy?

Germany shuts 9/11 plotters' mosque in Hamburg


Police raided the mosque on Monday and hunted for evidence of jihadist activities German police have shut down the Hamburg mosque where the 9/11 hijackers met before their suicide attacks on the US in 2001.
Police said they believed the Taiba mosque was again being used as a meeting point for extremists.  The cultural association that runs the mosque has also been banned.

A German intelligence report last year said radical Muslims had travelled to military training camps in Uzbekistan after associating at the mosque.  "We have closed the mosque because it was a recruiting and meeting point for Islamic radicals who wanted to participate in so-called jihad or holy war," said Frank Reschreiter, a spokesman for Hamburg's state interior ministry.  He said 20 police officers had been searching the building and had confiscated material, including several computers, the Associated Press reported.

It's too bad that NYC Mayor Bloomberg doesn't get it!  There is absolutely no reason to allow the Mosque to be built near the site of the Twin Towers - NONE!  It's an insult to our intelligence and a hardy laugh at our naivety.

What Does Free Choice Mean?

President Obama made the following remark last week in Washington to the influential executive council of the AFL-CIO labor federation, as Mr. Obama and other Democrats seek continued support from labor ahead of November's tough midterm elections.

"We are going to keep on fighting to pass the Employee Free Choice Act," he told the 54 executive council members and others in the room."

"Employee Free Choice" sure sounds like "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness".  However, when you hear these words from Liberals you have to worry.  In the case of "Employee Free Choice" it means that the Unions can muscle workers face to face to Sign a Card stating that they want a Union and if they get approval from 50% (even if they were coerced) then the Employer cannot ask for a "Secret Ballot".

Now we've seen some of these "Union Organizers" at rally's and it seems likely that a fair amount of employees will not want to incur their wrath by saying they don't want a union.  On the other hand, given this Administratins' partnership with Unions, exempting them from "Cadillac Taxes" etc., they are getting more powerful.  Problem is as we have seen lately, the more Obama pushes for things like this the less likely that Business are going to create New Jobs!

Liberals also don't like "School Choice".  They prefer that the current Union Monopoly of the Failing Education System keep right on doing what their doing.  Remember what Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as Stupid Does?"

Same for citizens having the right to Choose to own and carry a gun for self protection.  Chicago Politicians and recently Jessie Jackson Sr. have asked for Chicago to be declared an Emergency Area.  Two aldermen even asked for the National Guard to be sent in to stop the Gun Violence.

The Cities that are most decimated and prone to violence have been controlled by Democrats for decades.  From Newark to Baltimore to Detroit and Chicago and yet voters don't demand a change.

"Ignorance has been defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".  So how would you define the intelligence of the average voter in these areas?

Pinocchio are still claiming that the Stimulus is Working and this is “The Summer of Recovery”.   And, Mrs. Nero is on a pre-vacation in Spain prior to the upcoming vacation in Marthas Vinyard.  You just can't jump in to these Vacations, you have to practice - Right?

Job Figures Just Part of a Grim Economic Picture

(Aug. 7) — The prospects for unemployed Americans are going from bad to worse.

The United States once again shed jobs in July, the Labor Department said today, and a host of economic data is dampening hopes for a turnaround in hiring anytime soon. Nonfarm payrolls shrank by 131,000 last month in an economy that lost more than 8.5 million jobs in the recent recession but started to generate job growth earlier this year. While most of the losses reflected the dismissal of temporary U.S. census workers, private-sector payroll growth was an anemic 71,000 jobs. And the government revised its reading on job losses in June to 221,000 from the initially reported 125,000.

“Climbing out of any recession, much less a hole as deep as this one, takes some time,” President Barack Obama acknowledged in a speech at a sign manufacturing plant in Washington, D.C. “The road to recovery doesn’t follow a straight line.” With unemployment looming as one of the most important issues for the midterm elections this fall, Obama tried to draw out the positive, saying, “We’ve now added private-sector jobs every month this year, instead of losing them, as we did for the first seven months of last year.”

But as Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke noted in a speech to financially beleaguered state government officials last week, even faster employment expansion, which averaged about 100,000 jobs per month in the first six months of the year, isn’t enough to materially reduce unemployment rates, since graduates, immigrants and others are constantly expanding the ranks of American workers.

The Fed has lowered its forecasts for economic growth and predicts it could be the end of 2012 before unemployment falls from the current 9.5 percent to between 7 and 7.5 percent. In presenting the forecasts to Congress, Bernanke said the Fed “viewed uncertainty about the outlook for growth and unemployment as greater than normal.” Indeed, even that 9.5 percent unemployment rate is misleading. Essentially unchanged from June, the rate doesn’t mean the same number of people have jobs; in fact, the number of employed workers fell by 159,000. But 381,000 people were dropped from the official tally of the work force, mostly because they stopped looking for work. So the official unemployment rate was calculated from a smaller base of potential workers. The percentage of the overall population that is working edged lower, and the number of discouraged workers — people who stopped looking for work because they believe no jobs are available for them — was at 1.2 million. A broader survey of employers produced an even darker picture. State and local governments continued to cut jobs, the construction sector lost another 11,000 posts and even temporary help services got rid of a net 6,000 figures. Most of the gains were in manufacturing — a net increase of 36,000, reflecting fewer seasonal layoffs in the auto industry — and in the health care industry, which added 27,000 jobs. Shipping and warehousing companies were also hiring.

But the growth of manufacturing jobs —also highlighted by Obama — itself may not be sustainable. A good portion of the economic growth earlier this year came from businesses replenishing their inventories, and demand for new products could be slowing. The Fed’s latest take on manufacturers’ capacity utilization — a measurement of how much industry is producing as a share of its maximum sustainable output — slipped three-tenths of a percentage point to 71.4 percent, suggesting that they have more workers than they can use. Other recent economic reports suggest that American employers neither need more workers nor are they confident enough of their own prospects to think they can afford to hire.

The latest compilation of reports from the business and banking contacts of the regional Federal Reserve banks indicates executives are getting more cautious as the U.S. economic recovery slows. The Commerce Department on July 30 estimated that the economy grew at an annual rate of just 2.4 percent in the second quarter, down sharply from a 3.7 percent pace in the first three months of the year.
Consumers, too, are increasingly wary. The government on Tuesday said Consumer spending — the biggest engine of U.S. economic growth — declined in June and that people were socking away more of their disposable income. 

At the same time, the housing market is tottering again, the commercial real estate market continues to implode, personal bankruptcies are up sharply and banks are still not lending enough to supply many businesses with the operating cash they need.

The economic momentum behind the recovery earlier this year seems to have petered out before it could generate enough job creation to sustain itself. And now it could be awhile before consumer demand and hiring pick up enough speed to make that happen.

2:30 pm : This morning's disappointing jobs report has certainly turned participants into sellers, but it hasn't brought in any additional players from the sidelines. Some pundits suggest that retail investors remain cautious about getting back into the stock market since data has has left many unconvinced that economic conditions have turned from tenuous to stable and that the stock market is less prone to further corrections. In turn, trading volume remains depressed.

Oh no!  They probably haven't talked with Obama or his VP Pinocchio!  I'm sure we can believe these two - aren't you?

Highlights from today's Jobs Report (CNBC-On Line)

The jobless rate held steady at 9.5 percent, defying expectations for a slight increase, but that was only because thousands more people dropped out of the labor force.

Companies cut back on temporary hires, a segment normally considered a harbinger of future hiring. Government jobs dried up much faster than anticipated and not just because it saw the end of short-term census jobs.


Temporary jobs dropped by 5,600, reversing a streak of strong gains that economists had viewed as a hopeful sign that hiring would pick up.


Normally, companies load up on temps at the beginning of a recovery when they are waiting for confirmation that growth is gaining momentum. This recovery has been unusual in that temporary hiring did not herald a jump in private hiring.


Private hiring totaled a lackluster 71,000 in July, below expectations for 90,000 in a Reuters poll. June's tally was revised down to just 31,000 from an initially reported 83,000.
Government hiring was another worrisome sign. The loss of 202,000 positions reflected the loss of 143,000 temporary Census jobs.


The total also included 38,000 jobs lost in local government. For most municipalities, the fiscal year began on July 1, and government associations have been warning that huge budget gaps would force aggressive job and spending cuts. July's report suggests local governments got a quick start.


There were a few positive signs buried among the bad news. The average work week edged up to 34.2 hours from 34.1, suggesting companies were squeezing more out of existing workers and may soon need more. Earnings also rose slightly, adding to consumers' spending power.

Meanwhile, Barry is taking bows in Detroit and V.P. Pinocchio is still touting the "Summer of Recovery".

They keep pretending that everything is fine.  But they are going to get a very rude awakening in November.  In the meantime, they just got a nice slap upside the head from the States of Missouri and Virginia.  And of course in typical fashion Gibby's answere as to what they thought about the Missourin Referendum was, NOTHING!
It's time for the States and the Voters to Step Up and declare how Unconstitutional the Acts of the Administration and Judiciary are.

Feds Disregard the People and Constitution

The following  is from today's post from the Heritage Foundation.  I'm too lazy to plagiarize it so I'll use my favorite tool - Cut and Paste.

The Obama Elite vs The American People!


This Tuesday voters in Missouri, by a 40-point margin, approved a ballot measure rejecting the individual mandate at the core of President Barack Obama's health care law. Asked what the vote meant to the White House, press secretary Robert Gibbs said: "Nothing." Yesterday in San Francisco, federal judge Vaughn Walker gave the exact same weight to a California ballot measure that affirmed marriage as an institution between one man and one woman. Specifically Judge Walker overturned the California Marriage Protection Act after concluding, as a matter of fact, that the majority of Californians who voted to protect marriage were bigots who had no rational basis to define marriage on their own terms.  (OK, I'm from the Mid West, does anyone east of the Rockies consider California bigots?  There boycotting Arizona for Cryin out loud - JC).  Here are just some of the "facts" Judge Walker found:

• Religious beliefs that gay and lesbian relationships are sinful or inferior to heterosexual relationships harm gays and lesbians.

• The campaign to pass Proposition 8 relied on stereotypes to show that same-sex relationships are inferior to opposite-sex relationships.

• The Proposition 8 campaign relied on fears that children exposed to the concept of same-sex marriage may become gay or lesbian.

• The genetic relationship between a parent and a child is not related to a child’s adjustment outcomes.

• Children do not need to be raised by a male parent and a female parent to be well-adjusted.

How did Judge Walker arrive at these “facts”? By agreeing with everything the same-sex marriage proponents "experts" said while ruling that the traditional marriage witness was "unreliable" and "provided no credible evidence to support any of the claimed adverse effects proponents promised to demonstrate." In so doing, Walker not only ignored the views of millions of Californians, but by basing his decision on the 14th Amendment, he also ignored the factual determinations of every single popular vote that has been held on the issue in the past two decades. According to Judge Walker's reasoning every single one of these Americans is a bigot whose opinion on marriage has no place under Judge Walker's Constitution.
From the beginning, it was clear that Judge Walker was more interested in making a political statement than upholding the rule of law. That is why after Judge Walker ruled that the trial could be broadcast live, the Supreme Court took the remarkable step of overturning his decision, writing in January: "Not only did [Judge Walker's court] ignore the federal statute that establishes the procedures by which its rules may be amended, its express purpose was to broadcast a high-profile trial that would include witness testimony about a contentious issue."

Clearly that Supreme Court would have rightly viewed with great skepticism every sentence of Judge Walker spurious ruling. But that Court will not be deciding this case. Today the Senate will vote on whether to confirm President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan. The same Elena Kagan who manipulated the law and facts to deny military recruiters equal access to Harvard law students because she did not personally approve of our militarys' personnel policies regarding same-sex relationships.  The same Elena Kagan who was simply "not sympathetic" to the claim of a petitioner that his 2nd amendment rights were violated, and was actively involved in President Clinton's gun control agenda. The same Elena Kagan who advised President Clinton that it would be a "disaster" if the full medical truth was revealed about partial-birth abortion, endangering the gruesome procedure.

The facts are becoming quite clear. Kagan, Walker, Gibbs, and Obama all give the same weight to the will of the American people as expressed at the ballot box: "Nothing." We'll see today if the Senate agrees.

In conclusion, The Congress holds Town hall meetings to get their constituents opinions and wishes - but then they ignore them and hopefully will get dumped in November.  And as indicated by Gibby's statement on the Missouri Referendum to OPT OUT of OBAMACARE, the Administration is just not interested in the Will of the People!

Glen's Vacation

Glen is a good friend who recently sent me this message.  We need more Patriots like him!

I wrote a piece to post on your blog that didn't make it earlier. Last week, we took a vacation with my wife, 15 yr old son, oldest daughter, son-in-law and two grandson's (9 & 12). We went to Gettysburg and toured the battlefields with an audio CD purchased from the Park Service, then on to DC, with a tour of the Capitol where we actually saw Nancy Pelosi - in person - from about 25 feet away. I told my Dad (86 now) that we'd seen her and his response was "DId you kick her in the ass? - I had to tell him that I wasn't able to get close enough! We also sat in on about 15 minutes of the House of Representatives which was in session. My son-in-law was sitting next to me. One of the orators from the left side of the aisle was lamenting the lack of a C(r)ap & Trade legislation and extolling the virtues of going after the "obscene corporate profits" as means of funding all their wonderful programs. I didn't miss the opportunity to mention to my son-in-law that this guy was a prime example of why he needed to take more interest in elections - to keep assholes like that guy out of congress. Thereafter, national monument, to the front of the white house where Michelle Obama's garden is - very well maintained I might add. Then to WWII memorial, Lincoln Monument & Korean War memorial. I couldn't help but reflect on the onerous damage that the current occupant of the white house is doing to our country - and what messr.s Adams, Hancock, Jefferson, Washington, etc. would have thought of the stewardship the current occupant of the white house as well as the members of congress are doing to their fine efforts at creating a great Republic.

Friday, we went to Monticello and spent the money to tour the house. Our daughter commented (to my dismay) before we went in that they could go to Great America for a little more money then the price of admission! However, I think that all learned a great deal about one of the founding fathers and principal author of the Declaration of Independence. A man who held onto life in his dying days to die on the 4th of July 1826, 50 years to the day of the signing of the Declaration of Independence - a day that John Adam's also hung on to die shortly after Jefferson. One of the people in our group asked why, if Jefferson were rich and a great leader earlier in his life, that he died $110,000 in debt. The answer by the tour guide was one of the best that I've heard yet. During Jefferson's 8 reluctant years in the White House, he was given $25,000 per year - to live on and run all of the affairs as well as maintain the place. When he left office, he was $11,000 in debt. While in office, he completed the PEACEFUL acquisition of the Lousiana Purchase doubling the size of the country for 3 cents per acre. The value of his holdings was affected drastically by the glut of new, fertile and available land that resulted from the Louisiana Purchase. Post death, Monticello and the remaining land was sold for $7500 to cover some of his debt. I couldn't help but reflect about the selflessness of men like Adams, Washington (won the revolutionary war and then promptly resigned his commission rather than simply take over the country), Jefferson - that risked their lives by the treasonous act of signing the declaration and fighting the British, then put the good of the country before themselves consistently thereafter.

Yes Jim - The next two rounds of national elections are critical indeed.

In the previous article we talked about the lack of Transparency in this Administration.  Now we find a "leaked" memo from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that advises the Administration of 19 ways in which the Administration can implement meaningful immigration reform Without going to Congress!  The following memo was written by Rosemary Jenks and posted on the NRO website on July 30,2010.

What the Amnesty Memo Means

Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi are facing a dilemma: Although they publicly bemoan the fact that Republicans won’t help them pass an unpopular amnesty . . . er, comprehensive immigration-reform bill, they don’t want to force vulnerable Democrats to vote on amnesty this close to the November elections — especially not with unemployment at 9.5 percent.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) may have uncovered the answer to their dilemma yesterday: an internal U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services memo (reported here on NRO) that outlines steps the Obama administration can take “in the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform” — that is, lawfully enacted amnesty — to “reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals present in the United States without authorization.”

The four authors of the memo, titled “Administrative Alternatives to Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” are political appointees USCIS chief of policy and strategy Denise Vanison (a former immigration attorney and partner at Patton Boggs) and USCIS chief counsel Roxana Bacon (former general counsel for the American Immigration Lawyers Association), and two career employees of USCIS director Alejandro Mayorkas, another Obama appointee.

The U.S. Constitution gives Congress — and only Congress — the authority to decide federal immigration law, but the Obama administration has come up with an extensive list of ways to ensure that a majority of the illegal aliens in the United States are allowed to remain here.

Here are just three examples of the outrageous proposals in the memo:

● USCIS could grant “parole-in-place,” which comes with a work permit and the ability to obtain a green card, to certain classes of aliens who entered the country illegally. Such classes would include those who entered as minors and those who “have lived for many years in the U.S.” A nice reward for those who have successfully violated the law for the longest period of time.



● For those who overstay their visas, the memo recommends granting “deferred action,” which means that deportation is deferred indefinitely and the illegal alien can apply for a work permit. The memo suggests two particular categories of illegal aliens for deferred action: those who might benefit if Congress were to pass the DREAM Act amnesty (of which there are 2.1 million, according to the Migration Policy Institute) and those “who have resided in the U.S. since 1996 (or as of a different date designed to move forward the Registry provision now limited to entries before January 1, 1972).” The “Registry provision” referred to is an actual federal law, not that it matters to the memo’s authors.

● To make sure no illegal alien is left behind, the memo suggests that DHS could simply stop issuing “Notices to Appear” (the document that starts the removal process for illegal aliens) unless the alien has a “significant negative immigration or criminal history.” Apparently, violating immigration law once or twice is acceptable. These folks wouldn’t be able to apply for a work permit, but since the Obama administration isn’t conducting work site enforcement against illegal aliens much anymore, that shouldn’t matter.

At one point in the memo they talk about those individuals who, "have entered the country without inspection".  Doesn't this sound so much better than ILLEGALLY! 

Also in the Act we find that the DHS would have discretion to waive grounds of inadmissibility for spouses, sons and daughters if they find that not doing so would create an "extreme hardship"

(I wonder where this logic ends?  If we have a U.S. Citizen who is arrested and convicted and sentenced to jail for stealing some food for his family or money from a neighbor, would we release him if he showed that since he is the family breadwinner Jail would be an EXTREME HARDSHIP on his family - ya think??

No wonder Reid, Pelosi, and Obama seem content to avoid a legislative battle over immigration; the Department of Homeland Security is hard at work on ways to implement its own amnesty.

Make White House Communications Public: Obama will amend executive orders to ensure that communications about regulatory policy making between persons outside government and all White House staff are disclosed to the public.

Conduct Regulatory Agency Business in Public: Obama will require his appointees who lead the executive branch departments and rule making agencies to conduct the significant business of the agency in public, so that any citizen can see in person or watch on the Internet these debates.
 
At the start of the Obama administration, Attorney General Eric Holder released a memorandum (PDF) directing government agencies to consider FOIA requests with a “clear presumption of openness.” Since then, the results have been decidedly mixed.

An audit from the National Security Archive at George Washington University (PDF) showed that less than half of the 90 agencies audited took some kind of step toward better FOIA compliance while most failed to demonstrate any action. On top of that, a review by the Associated Press showed that the use of FOIA exemptions by major government agencies increased in 2009 – the first year of the Obama administration.

So much for transparency!

Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

The law, signed last week by President Obama, exempts the SEC from disclosing records or information derived from "surveillance, risk assessments, or other regulatory and oversight activities." Given that the SEC is a regulatory body, the provision covers almost every action by the agency, lawyers say. Congress and federal agencies can request information, but the public cannot.

That argument comes despite the President saying that one of the cornerstones of the sweeping new legislation was more transparent financial markets. Indeed, in touting the new law, Obama specifically said it would “increase transparency in financial dealings."

The SEC cited the new law Tuesday in a FOIA action brought by FOX Business Network. Steven Mintz, founding partner of law firm Mintz & Gold LLC in New York, lamented what he described as “the backroom deal that was cut between Congress and the SEC to keep the SEC’s failures secret. The only losers here are the American public.”

It appears that the only "Change we can believe in", is that we can't believe anything this Administration says!

Executive Order stating, "The detention facilities at Guantánamo for individuals covered by this order shall be closed as soon as practicable, and no later than one year from the date of this order." January 22, 2009.

In today's paper, Ben Fox of the AP reminds us that Kalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self professed mastermind of the attack and four alleged accomplices are still sequestered at Gitmo and his statements that he WANTED TO PLEAD GUILTY, have essentially been erased.

"There is no case, no judge, there is nothing" said Navy Lt. Cmdr. Richard Federico-they are back in to the black hole".  In November our Atty General, Eric Holder said that the trial would be moved to a federal court in NY.  But after many protests, the Administration Backtrack- Again!  In March the White House said that a decision was WEEKS away.  Now they say it is still under review.

The real problem you see is that Obama has a bigger commitment than to the Families of the Victims of 9/11 or the American Public.  As he stated in his book "The Audacity of Hope":

"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction".

Today’s local newspaper contains an article from the AP with the following comments:

The recovery (and this is “The Summer of Recovery” according to Joe) has been losing air for two straight quarters. Concerns have arisen whether it will fizzle out – or even tip back in to a “double-dip” recession.

1. The recovery is losing so much momentum that Employers are unlikely to step up to hiring any time this year and could return to double digits.

2. Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics states that:

a. “We’re heading into the third quarter with little momentum, and most everything is tracking weaker.

b. “Because of that, I expect unemployment to rise back to double digits, hitting 10 percent in December and staying there early next year.

3. The one area of exception is that Companies are investing in productivity enhancing equipment but that reduces the need to expand their work force.

The paper also has another article on page 2 that discusses the growing casualties in Afghanistan (Obama’s War!).

We also read that without any review by the Congress, the SEC is no longer obliged to respond to FOIA’s. Think Fascist!

So if you are a regular reader of this blog you will know that this all fits nicely in to the Cloward and Piven Strategy – “To organize Political, Economic and Social Chaos”. And there is a clear link from The Communist Party of America and Saul Alinsky to SDS (Bill Ayers and Wade Rathke of Acorn fame), to the NWRO (George Wiley – violent demonstrations in the ’60’s), to Acorn - to BARRY.

It doesn’t matter what the issue is, Obama and his Administration and ‘Pilot Fish’ in the Legislator seem to always take a position that is Anti-American and clearly against the voters’ wishes. Apologizing for America’s past (does that include Normandy?), bowing to the Saudi King, releasing terrorists, refusing to enforce our “Illegal” Immigration Laws, suing Arizona, screwing up the Gulf Clean Up efforts, imposing anti-job measures such as the ban on Offshore Drilling, Taxing Small Businesses Owners, creating an environment of uncertainty about business taxes, passing the Health Care Bill (despite all the polls and town hall meetings), pushing deficit spending (despite their pledge to enforce pay-go), playing the race card at every opportunity and out and out Lying to the Public.

Many people have assumed that this is a result of inexperience – but it is NOT! As you will see in the attached PowerPoint presentation there is a clear connection between Obama and his cronies to a Radical Neo-Marxist philosophy that was first published by Columbia University Professors Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven in 1966. Known in Radical Circles as the Cloward – Piven Strategy it had its roots with Saul Alinsky.

The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into political, financial and social CRISIS. In order to do this Cloward and Piven blended Alinsky concepts with their more aggressive effort at brining about a change in U.S. government. To achieve this they sought to use a cadre of Aggressive ORGANIZERS assisted by ‘friendly media’ to force a re-distribution of the nation’s wealth.

In the chart on the last page you will see the genesis of this movement. From Alinsky and the Communist Party USA, to C-P to SDS (Ayers, Rathke, George Wiley’s NWRO (violent demonstrations in the ‘60’s), to Acorn (Rathke), Soros (Financier) and eventually Barry Sotero/Barack Obama.

The purpose of this post is to alert you to this well organized Strategy that is being implemented by many of Obama’s appointees (think Janet Napolitano, “The Border has never been safer”, Hilda Solis, Sec of Labor, “Illegal immigrant workers should call her if they are being paid poorly – documented or not”, etc. AND encourage you to get out and vote in November.

Please remember that short term the only thing we can do (without rioting like them) is to help ensure that the “Pilot Fish” in the Legislator lose control of the House so there can be gridlock until we vote Barry out in 2012.

Those of you who have known me for years are aware that I was very outspoken against Bush and his misguided Iraq adventure as well as his not challenging the Spending at that time. I renounced my “Republican” affiliation and have been ever since an Independent Voter.

However, it is usually a “two party” race and our Mission now is to Stop further implementation of the Radical Cloward-Piven Strategy. So if you are one of those Moderates who vote for change or don’t vote if you don’t like any candidate, remember that we are not Radicals but law abiding citizens who’s Strategy is to Support the Constitution and implement change through our Votes!

It’s not about Party! If you have a Constitution supporting anti deficit spending Democrat in your district – vote for him or her if you feel they are the better candidate – but VOTE in November!

It’s not about Mexicans or Arizona

People from Mexico who come to the U.S. legally have strong family values, firm Religious beliefs, and are hard working; with many of them being entrepreneurs. These are the type of people that we welcome to the U.S.

When others sneak across the border they are doing these law-abiding citizens a huge disservice by cutting in ahead of the line. Most of them are also paying (Coyotes) to help them across and much of this money goes to the Drug Cartels.

The Federal Governments’ lack of interest in finishing the fence along the Tucson Border is encouraging folks other than Mexicans to enter our country illegally. In fact, the Border Patrol has developed a new acronym “OTM” to indicate the people coming across who are not from Mexico.

Once across, these felons migrate across America engaging in illegal activities. In fact 18% of those caught, already had a conviction in the U.S. Obama, Holder and Napolitano are guilty of Mal-Practice since they won’t enforce the Federal Laws but are suing a State whose law is based on the Federal Law.

This is a grave matter of National Security – not from law abiding Mexicans, but from Mexican criminals and “OTM” criminals and possible Terrorists. The Constitution states that the Union was formed to: “Establish Justice, Insure domestic Tranquility and provide for the common defense”

If the Federal Government won’t do their job then they should get out of the way and let the States do it for them. In fact the Governor of each State is the Commander of the States National Guard. They should be allowed to bring their troops home to defend their own state and not a politically corrupt land of rocks in the Middle East.

Obama's Vacation

Recent articles talk about our President taking another Vacation, this time in Maine.  (Didn't he tell us to go to the Gulf shores?)  But let’s face it, he deserves a vacation. Since the Oil Spill on April 20th he has been going non-stop.  First there were 2 days of Media Events then 2 days of fundraising followed by 4 Commencement Speeches – Whew! Next there was 6 days of Vacation, 6 days of Campaigning and 7 Sports Events.


Add to this all the pressure he had to endure by not going to the site of the spill until May 28th and the days and days of leadership and coordination he had to do to ensure that the Administration was doing everything they could to prevent the clean up. He had to refuse help from several foreign countries in order to avoid issuing an exception to the Jones ACT. My god, this would have cost his party many union votes! Then they had to devise ways to deny the States the ability to implement solutions of their own. From the EPA to the Coast Guard to the Department of Labor this was a masterful display of leadership.

Finally, in the middle of this he saw an even bigger opportunity to stifle job growth, a Moratorium on Drilling that would cost the Gulf area 100,000 jobs. Wow, this is as good as the Stimulus Plan! Imagine 100,000 more people dependent on the Federal Government with just one executive decision. However, to his chagrin a Judge ruled that this was unconstitutional. Not to be intimidated by the Constitution, Obama had his Sec of the Interior and Attorney General re write the moratorium language to sneak by that pesky Constitution – how’s that for superior leadership?

Well by now you get my point. Lay off the President, he’s working hard, even though it’s not for you!

WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration on Thursday doubled its minimum estimate of how much crude oil was gushing from the Deepwater Horizon oil well, saying a panel of scientists had concluded that 20,000 to 50,000 barrels, or as much as 2.1 million gallons, were pouring into the Gulf of Mexico every day before BP sheared the well's riser pipe on June 3.

That action, which BP engineers undertook to fit a ``top hat'' containment dome over the well, almost certainly increased the flow, and Dr. Marcia McNutt, the head of the U.S. Geological Survey, said an estimate of the flow since June 3 would be available in a few days. ``Our scientific analysis is still a work in progress,'' McNutt said.

The announcement that tens of thousands more barrels of oil than previously estimated have been spewing into the Gulf for weeks added to a growing sense that neither the federal government nor BP correctly assessed the size of the unfolding disaster or marshaled enough resources to meet it.

Separately Thursday, BP and the Coast Guard acknowledged that their hopes of removing 28,000 barrels of crude from the water daily beginning perhaps next week depend on a largely untested plan to burn more than a third of that oil.

Who Are they kidding? 

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration video, shot as officials coordinated response to the Deepwater Horizon disaster, shows that federal officials almost immediately worried that the oil well could leak up to 110,000 barrels per day, or 4.6 million gallons.

The video appears on a federal Web site. 

So, NOAA was aware on April 22nd that the Spill could be between 65,000 and 100, Barrels per Day!  Check out my Post on May 1st it outlines the whole story and gives a link to the actual articles with pictures from the NOAA meeting.  So why is the Government (Admiral Allen and Barry Sotero) still not giving us the real estimate?

Chicago's Stupid Gun Control

It has often been said that Ignorance is “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. As Forest Gump said, “Stupid is as Stupid Does”. Meanwhile in a response to a reporter recently Mayor Daily said, "It's been very effective. If I put this up your butt, you'll find out how effective it is. Let me put a round up your, you know," Cute but in comparison with other major cities, Chicago has an elevated murder total. For instance, in 2009, Chicago recorded 458 homicides and New York City 471 – when New York’s population is nearly three times as large as Chicago’s. In fact State Reps. John Fritchey and LaShawn Ford, both Democrats, suggested that the National Guard should be dispatched to curb the recent rise in violence. They made the proposal to Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn (D).


The solution, Daley says, is to continue pressing state and federal courts to tighten restrictions on gun ownership – and to uphold the city’s ban on handguns and assault weapons. Last month, Daley pressed the state legislature to pass a package that, among other things, would strengthen penalties for unlawful gun sales and ownership and require semiautomatic weapons to be stamped with more sophisticated tracking technology. The package is still pending.

Well, after 3 decades of “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”, Mayor Gump and his minions in the State Legislator should try something new like legalizing Gun Ownership and Conceal Carry!

Promises, Promises!

"President Obama said Saturday that he will stand with Gulf Coast residents "until they are made whole" from the oil spill catastrophe."

Well isn't that special.  This is the same guy who PROMISED to ADD Millions of Jobs to the Economy, to be THE TRANSPARENT PRESIDENT, to get out of Gitmo and Iraq etc.  Blah, Blah, Blah.

We have a 2 story house. I tried this from the Master Bedroom and it WORKS! From bedrooms on the other side of the house I had to stick my hand outside the door but it worked. Test this yourself and keep your spare keys in your night stand.

Put your car keys beside your bed at night!

If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won't stick around. After a few seconds, all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

P.S. I am sending this to everyone I know because I think it is fantastic. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone. My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there's a problem.

Please pass this on even IF you've read it before. It's a reminder.

The plug and play administration

Obama's schedule of late reads like a self-indulgent narcissist's dream come true:

April 23: Four days after the oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, Barack and Michelle begin their golf-filled vacation in North Carolina.

April 26: Even after it is clear that thousands upon thousands of gallons of crude are spilling into the Gulf daily, Obama pays no real attention to the crisis. He's busy entertaining the New York Yankees at the White House.

April 29: Tired of campaigning for legislation in stops across the country, Obama stays in Washington, D.C.-and attends a DNC fundraiser at a private residence.

May 1: To freshen up before his photo op in the Gulf area the next day, Obama delivers a commencement address at the University of Michigan and then yuks it up with celebs at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

May 17: Obama hosts UConn's women's basketball team at the White House.

May 19: 30 days after the oil rig explosion, Obama enjoys the company of New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez as singer Beyonce provides a live performance at the White House State Dinner.

May 25: 36 days into the spill and after repeatedly stating that he would not rest until the leak was stopped, Obama attends a $20,000/plate dinner for Sen. Barbara Boxer in California. At the same time, a recently-taped sports interview with TNT's Marv Albert airs during an NBA playoff game.

And the whirlwind of fun is hardly over! His Memorial Day weekend vacation plans were changed to squeeze in another Gulf photo op this Friday. And, after he skips out on the usual Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, Barack will return to D.C. in time to host a concert with Paul McCartney at the White House.

With such a tight schedule, Obama hasn't had time to tend to a few important real-world matters. For example:

- Meeting with Arizona's governor about the illegal immigration crisis she's being forced to tackle almost singlehandedly

- Reading the Arizona law he continues to lambaste

- Doing anything to stop the oil spill other than demonize BP and reiterate that his boot is on the company's throat

To tamp down concern over its lazy response, the administration has leaked word that Obama-wait for it!-cursed as he vented his frustration. The president's order to "plug the damn hole" certainly proves his seriousness! With just enough luck his heavy lifting may be over soon and he can get back to plugging events into his social calendar.

I found this article in the Mobile Press-Register.  It has a Video showing that officials from NOAA were predicting much higher flow rate of oil.  We didn't learn of this until a few days ago : (

Video shows federal officials knew on April 22nd of the potential for massive oil flow in Gulf spill to reach 4.6 Million Gallons per day.  If you look its right on the white board.

The MMS Agency also did not have the # 1 recommended solution (Fire Booms) on hand and they still aren't there.

And Obama has been telling this that he and his administration have been on this since day 1 (but he only visited the beach for 4 hrs today!  He said yesterday that he is accountable.  Does that make any of you feel warm and fuzzy?

The video appears on a federal Web site.

It was filmed in Seattle, at NOAA's Western Regional Center, as scientists and federal officials in Seattle, Houston and New Orleans engaged in telephone conferences, according to a companion document on the Web site.

In it, officials are discussing the search for survivors of the Deepwater Horizon explosion. There is a hand-drawn map of the spill dated April 22. At one point, the video freezes on a sign next to a door that reads, "War Room."

In one scene, officials say that the estimate for the leak in a worst-case scenario is between 65,000 and 100,000 barrels per day. A dry erase board on the wall reads "Estim: 64,000 to 110,000 bbls/day. CNN reported 300,000 gal/day."

The high end of the estimate, 110,000 barrels, is about 4.6 million gallons. At that spill rate, 32 million gallons of oil would enter the Gulf every week. By comparison, the entire Exxon Valdez spill was about 11 million gallons.

Officials estimate current flow from the damaged well at 210,000 gallons a day.

It is unclear from the video what events would have to transpire to raise the flow rate higher.

A confidential NOAA report, dated April 28 and circulated among federal agencies, makes similar projections regarding spill size in a worst-case situation.

It describes newly discovered leaks in the tangle of riser pipe, attributing them to ongoing erosion of the pipe. The riser pipe, in this case about 5,000 feet long, connects the wellhead on the sea floor to the drilling rig on the surface.

"If the riser pipe deteriorates further, the flow could become unchecked," reads the report.

On Thursday, the day after the NOAA report was circulated, BP officials said they were worried about "erosion" of the piping.

Sand is an integral part of the formations that hold oil under the Gulf. The raw crude rising from the bottom of a well carries sand and other abrasive materials. In effect, the oil is sandblasting the piping as it rushes through with tremendous force, according to petroleum engineers.

"I think we need to be prepared for it to be the spill of the decade," Debbie Payton of NOAA, the meeting's coordinator, says during the NOAA video.

NOAA did not immediately respond to the Press-Register's request for comment on the video.

Another Commission, Another Delay Tactic

Remember the Campaign and all those promises:

• 10/7/08, “I want to go line by line through every item n the Federal budget and eliminate programs that don’t work….

• 10/15/08, “We’ve been living beyond our means and were going to have to make some adjustments. Now what I’ve done throughout this campaign is to propose a net spending cut.”

• 03/08, “We can no longer accept a process that doles out EARMARKS based on a member of Congress’ seniority, rather than the merit of the project.”

• To the thrill of technology and transparency advocates, candidate Obama promised sunlight before signing: "As president," his campaign website said, "Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days."

Well, so much for “taking the helm of the ship”. Now the President has decided to “outsource” the attack on spending and has formed a Commission.

I can hear it now, on mainstream media and from the “lips of liberals”; “The President is attacking the Spending problem – he has formed a Commission! Many of remember the old quote, “a committee/commission is a group of people who individually were unable to get anything done but get together where they collectively decide that nothing can be done”. (Sounds like Congress.) The Commission is called, “The National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform”.

With 22 Cabinet Heads, 38 Czars and Rambo's massive "Executive Office of the President" AND the 545 members of Congress that creates all spending Bills, you would think that they already had enough people to attack spending, right?  Wrong, these are politicians, they don't reduce spending.  They don't even read the bills so they are not going to review the budget Line by Line!

Do you think the Commission will report its findings before the mid-term elections in November?

If they have the nerve to recommend major cuts do you think Obama would aggressively pursue them? Do you think the Congress would support them?

Not likely! I think we all know that the Commission is nothing but another Political delay tactic to make it look like something is being done but will fade away after the mid-term elections.

Disengenuous politics is alive and well in Washington!

If they won't attack the Deficit Spending then we need to attack them by going to the polls in November and issuing lots of Pink Slips!

Pravda US?

If you read between the lines, you sometimes get a startling revelation about someones philosophy.  Following is an quote from Obama's speech this past weekend to the graduating class at Hampton College.

"Meanwhile, you’re coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don’t rank all that high on the truth meter. With iPods and iPads; Xboxes and PlayStations; information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment. All of this is not only putting new pressures on you; it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy."

Like his "spontaneous reply to Joe the Plumber" regarding the Distribution of Wealth, this is further indication of "Our Dear Leader's" political philosophy - Marxism.  Pretty soon he will issue a list of "approved reading material" and appoint a Cszar to oversee production of non approved material.

I can't imagine what will happen if this duplicitous egotist gets elected for a 2nd Term!

You spent $20,000,000 to move members/supporters of Hamas, a terrorist organization, to the United States ; housing, food, the whole enchilada.

Something happened... H.R. 1388 was passed, behind our backs. You may want to read about it... It wasn ' t mentioned on the news... just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.

Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA . This is the news that didn't make the headlines...

By executive order in January 2009, President Barack Obama ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza .

The "presidential determination," which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in theUnited States , was signed and appears in the Federal Register.

Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Now we learn that he is allowing thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.

These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.
