A Few Problems with Libyan Strategy

1. What Strategy?  One day Ghaddafi has to go and the next, "he's not a target".
2. What Coalition?  On day six the coalition looks like the 3 Stooges.  Turkey's mad a France, the UAE is backing out, NATO doesn't really want it - nor should they.
3. If Ghaddafi goes we're not sure who will succeed him!
4. Does anyone know the key criteria for Success here?
5. Is there an Exit Strategy other than Obams deciding to "cut and run"?
6. The Defence Department says that the action so far can be covered under their budget. What a nice budget they have - let's go get some of that gravy!
7. The U.S. President has violated Section 1, Article 8 of the Constitution:
1. "The Congress Shall have the power to Declare War!"
8. The U.S. President has also violated the War Powers Resolution of 1973:
1. The President can send U.S. armed forces into action abroad Only by Authorization of Congress OR if the U.S. is already Under Attack or serious threat."
9. The U.S. President should be Impeached
1. Per the Constitution,   "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments".  Oh well that won't happen in this Senate but we will remember.

These are my few problems does anyone have any others?

NYT Learns Obamaspeak

The Headline reads:  NATO Agrees to Take Command of No-Fly Zone in Libya ---- but then they go on to say, "It was not immediately clear how the NATO agreement reached Thursday would work in practical terms." 

Well, which is it?  Is there a deal?  What's the deal?

Why wasn't there a deal before we sent planes in to Bomb the S__t out of them?

 Why does Obama have time to go to South America but no time to go to Congress to splain what he is doing.

How can the Pentagon say that the cost of this is covered in their budget?  That's some reserve account they have there.

The Libyans must feel like a big YoYo with Obama having the string tied around his middle finger.  While they put their live on the line he's practicing how to put the YoYo to sleep and walk the dog.

As John Kass said on Wednesday, "You don't wait to find clarity a few days After you begin a war."

I'd like to remind you that you are a Senator from Illinois a State that has a high unemployment rate and a State that needs your attention to help us build up our economy. You were not elected by Barack Obama or Harry Reid. We need you to focus on our needs and not the Liberal Establishment. The Environmental Protection Agency is an out-of-control bureaucracy attempting an unprecedented power-grab, seeking to regulate every aspect of our lives and take control of the U.S. economy by shoehorning greenhouse gas regulation into the 1970 Clean Air Act. There is no worse tool than the Clean Air Act for this task, whose old fashioned, command-and-control regulations would devastate the United States economy.



The devastating impacts of allowing EPA to continue with its proposed regulations are easy to see. It is your responsibility as a Member of Congress to stop them. Not by replacing Clean Air Act regulation with another economically ruinous scheme like a cap-and-trade energy tax, but with clean preemption language that removes the threat.



There are efforts underway that I urge you to support. The most important is the Barrasso-Walberg bill (S. 228 and H.R. 750), which would clarify that the federal government should not distort any existing statutes to regulate global warming. Congress makes the laws in this country, and the Executive should not take action on this enormous issue unless and until Congress tells them to.



Additionally, the Inhofe-Upton bill (S. 482 and H.R. 910) is also an important effort that would preempt EPA’s distortion of the Clean Air Act by making clear that Congress never intended the Act to be used for greenhouse gases.



I urge you to cosponsor and support both of these bills and work to restore Congress’s proper role in the regulatory process.

The King Hearings

Muslims and other folks protesting the King Hearings are doing the Muslim community a big disservice.  King is not attacking the Muslim Community but rather he's trying to learn if there is an organized effort to use Mosques and other Muslim groups to recruit and train Terrorists.  The dissenters are also insulting the American Public that has shown time and time again that we are capable of separating a small cell (like the Nazis) from an overall group (Germany).

If the Muslim Community wants to to show that they are part of our Community, they need to take a leadership role in helping us identify these terrorist elements who are using the Muslim Community and their Religion to build hatred and commit violence against the USA.

The Punter-In-Chief

The first page of Obama's budget proposal states that "the fiscal realities we face require hard decisions".  He then goes on to abdicate his responsibilities to address these realities by presenting a budget that:

1. Continues Spending at record levels.
2. Raises Taxes by $1.6 trillion.
3. Doubles the National Debt.
4. Expands the Federal Government by 3% of GDP.
5. Borrows 43 cents for every dollar spent in 2011.
6. Claims cost reductions without any details.
7. Does not address the major problems of Social Security and Medicare.
8. Ignores the recommendations of his own Deficit Commission.

It's just amazing how stupid he thinks we are that he can say one thing in his opening statement and then present a totally different budget.  He is bankrupting our Country and it's not due to lack of experience.  His goal is to create Social, Political and Economic Chaos so he can implement a Marxist government.

Obamacare Deception - Again!

In May of 2009 after Obamacare was passed the CBO discovered that the Administration had not provided any costs for Implantation so $115 bil was added to the projection which clearly made it a Deficit investment over the 10 year cost/savings analysis. The CBO weren't the only ones fooled. As Pelosi said when the Bill was being rushed through the Congress, "we have to pass this so you will know what is in it.

Now, almost 2 years later we are discovering that there was $105 billion not only in the Bill but set up to be automatically allocated starting this year.

The solution being recommended is for the GOP to refuse to renew the CR unless this wording is changed and it reverts to requiring Congressional Funding. The best solution however is to have the Supreme Court agree with Judge Vinson's findings and declare the entire Bill Unconstitutional. On another thought tract I have to wonder EXACTLY WHO AUTHORED THIS BILL AND WHEN THEY STARTED ON IT. It's hard to believe that this level of detailed deception only started with the Inauguration.

Obamacare, Paul Ryan will Eat his Tie

Paul Ryan: "I Will Eat My Tie" If Obamacare Reduces the Deficit

Funny, I don't recall Obama making it interesting like that back when he was running around promising Americans that his healthcare monstrosity was 'deficit-neutral'.

Obama could have said: "I'll eat my golf glove if this bill adds one dime to the deficit!"

But he didn't. Hmmm...

So here is Paul Ryan on tonight's Mark Levin radio show, explaining for the umpteenth time that the CBO's output is entirely dependent on the data that is spoon-fed to them and the set of assumptions they are instructed to make.

In other words, they are robot slaves with green eyeshades.

Whatever you put in CBO - in front of them - they have to score what you put in front of them. They put this health care, we put the health care bill in front of them; the health care bill is full of gimmicks and spending tricks. Ten years of tax increases to pay for six years of spending, for starters. They double-count revenue for Social Security. They double-count revenue for this new CLASS Act program. They double-count Medicare cuts. They ignore the 'doc fix'. They did not include the $115 billion in spending that would be required just to set the bureaucracy up to run this new program.

"If you take out all the double-counting - if you add the counting they didn't count - it adds a $701 billion deficit. So, what CBO cannot do is tell you "we're not going to count the budget gimmicks that are in this legislation." They just have to estimate the bill as it's written, with all the gimmicks included. So, people around here know how to write legislation to manipulate the kind of cost estimate you're gonna get from the Congressional Budget Office. I sent a letter to the CBO, I asked them "Well, now look at these budget gimmicks, ignore these budget gimmicks. What then?" And it's what I just told you, this thing is a huge budget-buster. So, what they have is a piece of paper that they've manipulated to say this thing reduces the deficit.

I will eat my tie if that is the outcome of this law. But, they're trying to say by voting to repeal health care, we're going to raise the deficit - and we're just not gonna buy that economics. We're not gonna accept all these budget gimmicks, and that's why we're going to move ahead and repeal this thing anyway."

As even the liberals from Virginia know, the GOP response to the PPAA was authored by Paul Ryan. If you follow the attached link you will see the comment re comparing 10 years of Taxes to 6 years of benefits in the first paragraph.

Obamacare's Deceptive Math

The link below will take you to an article discussing that the HHS has issued over 1,000 waivers to allow companies and Unions Opt Out of the Mandatory Program.
Yesterday Secretary of HHS Sebelus admitted to Congress that they were DOUBLE COUNTING $500 billion by of Medicare cuts by showing it as a savings in the Obamacare Cost Projections and yet keeping it in their Budget.

Add to this that they used 10 years of Taxes to 6 years of benefits and you still don't see an honest projection of cost/benefits. They have been totally disengenuous right from the beginning, and to think that most Legislators who voted in favor of this bill didn't even read it much less understand it.

This Legislation is so filled with hidden bombs that it is imperative that it be totally killed and a fresh and honest proposal made in order to ensure that all American Citizens have base Medical Insurance.

On TV now. Seattle has announced it will not prosecute any protected minority because such is "racist" since most defendants are minorities. Also, will no longer require a college degree from job applicants since such a requirement is "racist" since most minorities don't have one. Also, illegal aliens will not be prosecuted for any crime committed since they, too, are the victims of our racist society. And, illegal alien criminals in jail will be released more quickly so that INS cannot deport them.

Illegal Immigrations

Illegal Health Care Mandates

The Marriage Act

etc.

Refuses to listen to the "Will of the People" - Health Care Mandates.

Consistently meddles in state and individual affairs.

Has consistently taken stands or rammed through laws that authorize deficit and non job creation spending programs.

Allows the Monarchy to enjoy unlimited public spending to support their vacations.

So as we sit here passing Judgment on the Monarchies in North Africa for engaging in the same practices we have to be pleased when we see Ordinary Folks stating that they are Fed Up with this type of Monarchy in America and Peacefully take to the street to protest. We will overthrow this abusive government but this is the United States of America - and we will continue to declare our Independence from Abusive Administrators by voting them out of office. That thankfully is our legacy from our Founding Fathers that we are a Nation of Laws and although the current Government doesn't feel that they have to support our laws - We The People know that we will follow the laws in seeking a prosperous and compassionate Government that will indeed encourage our Economic, Social and Political prosperity.

Maybe the Constitution Means Something

Judge Vinson's decision on Monday was so clear and so simple that even the Supreme Court could make this decision quite easily. So even though the Constitution doesn't mean anything to the Current Administration perhaps it is important to the American People. It has been described as "Eloquent in it's Simplicity".

But, now the whole Country is in a quandry - is Obamacare in or out? The Administration has a responsibility to allow this decision to be "fast tracked" to the Supreme Court so that States and Businesses can get a clear decision and either proceed or stop spending needless funds on this Deficit Building Bill.

Just as important is that the Congress needs to quickly move to add a replacement that will cover "Our Citizens", and implement cost savings measures such as Tort Reform (that leads to high mal-practice awards, high insurance rates and Defensive Medicine), cross state insurance options and real reforms in Medicare and Medicaid Management.

Unfortunately, we seem to have a President and Attorney General who don't believe in the Constitution or the Will of the People!

Egypt, Mid East Turmoil and the Kingston Trio

There are millions of protestors on the street calling for the Government to resign - but resign to what? They don't seem to have a rea plan for an alternative. El Baradi, the former U.N. Nuclear Energy Inspection Chief couldn't find any WMD's in Iraq or any evidence of problems in Iran .... hmmm! And yet he seems to be the leading candidate to negotiate between the Current Government, the Army, the Muslim Brotherhood (think Iran) and the well intentioned yet naive mob. Just when it seemed that the Army and Protesters were making nice, some anti-protestors, pro government goons show up and start throwing rocks. One little incident now could start the violence not only in Egypt but all across the Middle East.

So we find ourselves once again in a tinderbox of Revolutionary Fervor and who really knows the extent to which the Brotherhood is behind the protests or what the ARMY will do if it starts to go the wrong way. My thought is that if the Army doesn't like the direction things are going in they will step in and declare Martial Law. Don't forget these guys have profited for decades/centuries on their relationships with the Country's leaders. The Army is the largest Landowner in Egypt.

Once again I am reminded of the Kingston Trio song below: (FYI, they were a great Folk group in the 50's and 60's.) You can take this song and just change the country names and you have the same ole same ole! Unfortunately, this time we are not dealing with Countries but a combination of Countries and Religious Fanatics, so there really is a lot at stake now.

The Real National Debt

Note: This was originally posted in September of 2010. However, leglators and Media of all flavors still refer to the National Debe as $14 T when in fact it is really $65 T. We can't solve a problem if we don't recogize it. Also, when you look at this you will see that Social Security is not the big culprit. Health care programs are nearly five times as serious a funding challenge as Social Security.

The Real National Debt

We often hear the National Debt quoted by Politicians and the CBO as being $13+ Trillion.

According to most publications, as of July 28, 2010, the "Total Public Debt Outstanding" was approximately 93% of annual GDP, ($13.258 Trillion). But the current estimate for year end 2010 Debt is $14.4 Trillion so it’s really over 100%.

However, what you rarely hear is that this number does not include:

Medicare/Medicaid, $38.2 T

Social Security, 7.7 T

Fannie and Freddie debt, 5.0 T

This years’ enormous deficit spending ???

Like Obamacare, and other miscellaneous items.

When you add Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security and Fannie and Freddie you are looking at the 2010 year end "Real" National Debt as being $65.3 Trillion!

And Lord only knows how Obamacare and all of his Socialist programs are going to affect these numbers.
